Review:70124 Eagle Legend Beast/Meltus22238

From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki

Hi guys, I'm Meltus22238 (Boogly22238 on Wikia), but you can just call me Meltus. Today I am going to do my first review, which is on 70124 Eagle Beast! The set includes; you guessed it: the Eagle Legend Beast and Eris. This set is from the 2014 Legends of Chima line for Season 2. The price for the set is 10 bones, and it has 105 pieces.

The Box[edit | edit source]

The box for the set doesn't really have any good stuff on it, just the typical Chima junk all over it, and the Eagle Legend about to fly into your face. It also has the other Beasts and stuff on the back.

Here is the front of the box:

The back:

The box is also small, as you could imagine.

Contents[edit | edit source]

The set contains two bags and a tiny sheet of stickers for the Eagle Beast. Like many small sets, it does not contain too much and shouldn't take too long to build. There is a good amount of pieces, but it really isn't a lot compared to other sets:

No pieces are very interesting, except maybe the wings and I guess the flat studs with the eyes.

The Build[edit | edit source]

The build is fairly simple, and pretty easy to do. Should take the person constructing the creature and its descendant less than 10 minutes (or 15, or even 20 if you just suck at it or you're taking your precious time.) The instruction booklet of course goes to Eris first.

It then continues to the Eagle's body, and then it goes limb by limb, until finally you reach the end of your journey by building the small head.

Here is the only Minifigure, Eris:

Eris is the daughter of Ewald, king of the Eagle Tribe. She's also a main character in the animated Chima TV series and is full of girl power on the inside. Her main weapon is the CHIglaxxor/Eglaxxor, not sure which one it's actually called. Anyway, there isn't much interesting on her except maybe her accessories and her helmet/mask.

And to go with her, the finished Eagle Legend with her atop it:

The Eagle Beast is also the ancestor of all Eagles in the Legends of Chima series. Huzzah!

Overall[edit | edit source]

The set is overall pretty good. The building of the Eagle is enjoyable and doesn't take that long. I suggest getting this set; at $10.00, it's pretty reasonable for a price range. Although, I think $8.00 might be a little better. The Eagle's posability is pretty good, but the wings could use some sort of detail. The build is also very nice, and the wing-build is genius. I think something could've been done to the head, however.

Thanks for reading the review! But I have something to ask; what do you think? Do you have any suggestions for me to improve? I know I could put more detail somewhere. Also, I apologize if the pictures appear to look slightly bad. But thanks for reading, again!
