The red LEGO logo introduced in 1973 was updated. It is a graphically tightened version of the logo used for the past 25 years.
LEGO released Mindstorms, a programmable computerized brick with LEGO-compatible sensors and motors.

Milky Way ended their set promotion in Russia. The promotion started in 1995, lasting 3 years.
