Scott Lang is the second upholder of the Ant-Man mantle, given to him by the original, Hank Pym. He is a Marvel Super Heroes minifigure that appears in the 2015 set, 76039 Ant-Man Final Battle.
Background[edit | edit source]
Scott Lang was released following a three year prison sentence for stealing money from his employer and giving it back to his fellow workers. Visiting his daughter Cassie's birthday party unannounced, he was rebuked by his ex-wife and her new boyfriend police officer, Paxton. Lang, however, is unable to hold employment due to his criminal past, and reverts back to stealing with his old gang. He broke into an old man's house and stole what he believed to be an old motorcycle suit. However, he returned it after a terrifying ordeal where he shrunk down to the size of an insect, but was arrested on the way out. While sitting in his jail cell, he was contacted by Hank Pym via Pym's controlled ants. The ants brought the suit, shrunk down, to Scott in his cell. The ants made the suit grow back to normal size and put it on, shrinking again. He rode out of the jail on flying ants, all the while being guide by Pym via radio. Hank fell from his ant stead and went unconscious. When he wakes up, he is in in a bed he doesn't recognize, in a room he doesn't recognize. There is a woman standing by the food of his bed and ants are crawling all over the floor. But when Scott goes to take a step out of bed, the ants move away and make places on the floor for his feet as he walks. He meets Hank Pym and the mysterious woman downstairs at the table for breakfast. It is revealed that the woman is Pym's daughter and that Hank wants Scott to work for him. They start to train Scott in controlling the ants with the Ant-Man helmet and the shrinking and growing back on the suit while Hank's daughter trains Scott in various martial arts and fighting styles and exercises. Scott's first real mission is to break to the Avenger's new facility and steal a piece of technology. Once there, Scott runs in to Falcon, who attempts to incarcerate Ant-Man for trespassing. They fight and Ant-Man escapes with the technology. Their next mission is to get in to the technology business owned by Darren Cross and stop him from using the prototype Yellow Jacket war suit.
