Batwoman is a DC Comics character introduced in 2018.
Description[edit | edit source]
Batwoman wears a tight black body suit with her gloves, belt, cape, and bat logo coloured red. She has pale white skin with white goggles which give her white eyes underneath her mask. Her mask/hairpiece is one element, dual-moulded so that the mask and the hair are two separate colours.
In the video games[edit | edit source]
In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Batwoman is able to double jump, glide, swing on outcropping poles, use a grapple-gun, throw a batarang, search for clues, and hide from enemies or security cameras from under her cape. In LEGO DC Super Villains Batwoman's abilities include grapple, glide, glide (advanced), acrobat, technology, security access, detective mode, projectile rebound, photo mode, and tracking. Rather than a batarang, Batwoman wields dual pistols.
Background[edit | edit source]
As a child, Kate Kane's mother is killed and her twin sister goes missing. Years later, Kate enrolls in military school, but becomes directionless after she is expelled for her relationship with another woman. After an encounter with Batman (who is secretly her cousin, Bruce Wayne), Kate is inspired to become a crimefighter herself and, with help from her father, creates the persona of Batwoman. Generally partaking in adventures separate from the Bat-Family, Batwoman often investigates cultists and mystical cases. She is affiliated with a group called the Unknowns which also includes Clayface, Etrigan, Ragman, and her long lost sister Red Alice.
