Just2Good continues to upload leaked images (seriously, how many articles have we posted?) and now he is back with photos from Elves, a fantasy theme featuring mini-dolls. From what we know of the story, a normal girl named Emily finds herself in the land of the elves and with help from her new friends, must find her way back. We are still waiting for images for two of the sets, and no pictures of the boxes are provided.

My set designs were better. I mean, I haven't looked at the images other than the 100px(well, its a guess) thumbnails. So, someone who has, is it just Friends with pointy ears? :P

I like these. The aesthetics are great and there's some interesting designs (mainly the Crystal Hollow, I suppose, but the ship is neat as well).

Will this be in the girls or boys section in toyshops? Seems more girly, but I can't imagine the farran one doing well in girl eiles.

P mabey they'll put the boy one in the boy section as a taster to get boys into girl themes, they should do this with a disney prince too

What on earth are these? :P The animals are ugly, and so are the figures. Do we really need detailed print on the first male green eyed figure, and on our first grey eyed mini doll in general. I think these new hairs are pointless, and they could've reused some from LOTR. I think we could've gotten better mini-dolls that could easily be changed with the Friends and Disney sets. Aira's dress was obviously made for Pocahontas(same shape and all), so that's a semi conformed set. Also could we not have got animals that exist in real life but be too cheesy for friends, like a light pink dolphin, a grey squirrel, and the bird with no necklace.

The builds are weird, Aria's Creative workshop seems like a fantasy version of Emma's fashion design studio. The main draw is the scissors, but that's in the friends hair dresser set. I don't seen what on earth makes that set a Spa? But the golden book <3 Hopefully that will appear in a friends library or something.

The other two sets look good though, especially parts wise. So I think I may pick them up. I especially love the pirate ship, I'll probably definitely pick that up. I'm dissatisfied that there's no exclusive doll in the pirate ship, maybe an African American boy would be nice, or one of the girls in an exclusive outfit like they were in the prelims.

The two other sets prelims looked good, so hopefully they will transition well.

Better than friends everyday.

Seriously, this is the kind of theme we need -- a girl-oriented theme that doesn't alienate boys (although it kinda did with the minidolls). I'm tempted to make a few elemental constraction creatures (friendly monsters?) and put them in someone else's Elves layout, just to see how it would work.

(and that overload of gemstones tho)

Friends isn't sexist, just for having dolls. Your main reason of not buying a set should not be because it has dolls :/ Friends has some amazing builds, structures and pieces, don't be hard on it for marketing towards girls.

But 99% of boys hate "girly things", which is what everyone will see first and foremost in their minds, what with doll-shaped characters and "girly colors" like pink, purple, and azure. That and a storyline that's basically the other side of city (which some people would enjoy. I'm not a city person in general.)

But these sets, despite having aspects that appeal to females more than usual, has (or, looks like it would have) an enjoyable adventure/quest story on par with every artifact-collecting line in existence. That and more parts and recolors that appeal to fantasy builders, which I'd like to believe collect more parts than city/real life builders.

I don't think that purple or azure are considered girly. Pink certainly is, and maybe lavender, but most guys I know have gotten past azures and darker purples (and some of them, pink too). There isn't a lot of pink in these sets, and lavender is mostly used for foliage, so the biggest turnoff would probably be the dolls.

Friends is a better city theme than City is, that's why a lot of people of both genders like it, even if it is "girly." :P

pffft. Who needs new hairpieces and interesting sets in crazy colours. In 2015, guys get new police cars and construction vehicles. Stupid minidolls have ruined my life.

Only four pics this time? That's a bit strange, I would have at least expected a few boxart images :S

Still quite stereotypical girly colors, but less so than Friends. Colors aside, I quite like the designs of all the sets, the Crystal Hollow is pretty awesome. Also, I wonder what those flat studs many of them are holding are. To put it in numbers, 7/10.

I'm not too sure of the minidolls (the costumes look neat as far as those go, but the hair and faces are sort of dodgy), but the sets actually look really good. There is hardly any pink, and where it is used fits the setting. I also like all of the colorful foliage and crystals. Even the "spa" doesn't look girl, and the only thing that seems to make it a spa is the hairbrush. Pool might have been more appropriate. I also like that a male mini-doll gets to star in his own set. I might pick it up because of that. :P I'm looking forward to seeing the other two sets, and future waves, especially because Princesses and Friends seem sort of disappointing this year.
