As you can probably tell, it's been a slow few weeks for news, here's a few of the highlights below.
Double VIP points
LEGO is currently offering double points for VIP members until March 29. This is the equivalent of a 10% discount.
Books
Details have been found on four upcoming books, due for release in September/October. These are:
- Great LEGO Sets: A Visual History - comes with "an exclusive retro-style set", and explores the history of LEGO sets.
- LEGO Awesome Ideas - a book showing a range of things to build, showing readers how to build an entire LEGO world.
- LEGO Star Wars: Through A Lens - looks to be a book featuring artistic shots of LEGO Star Wars sets and minifigures.
- LEGO: I Want That Minifigure - comes with an exclusive minifigure, and is all about rare minifigures.
LEGO The Hobbit will remain incomplete
Although it was originally believed that a DLC pack would be on its way for the third Hobbit movie, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, Warner Bros has confirmed that they will not be releasing any downloadable content to complete the game, and that there are no plans to release a new game based on the third film.
$100,000 worth of LEGO used to create Jurassic Park stop-motion
