Buzz Lightyear is a minifigure from all three Toy Story films. Unlike the films, his wings can not pop out of his back; however, the wings can be taken apart from his back, giving the appearance that his wings are folded in. He appeared in seven sets.

Buzz Lightyear has a white, purple and green colourscheme, and these three colours are heavily featured on his minifigure version. He features white pants, a white shirt, a large armour piece, wings, a clear helmet, and a specially molded head. Buzz's legs contain purple and green detail printing, depicting feet and ankle armor. His shirt, as well, has printing suggesting armor, as well as various colour accents. Buzz's armor is molded white, with a large area of green printing on front, as well as three buttons, coloured blue, green and red in order from left to right looking on. A Star Command logo is seen in the centre of his armour. A large red button is also printed on the right side of his armour. In the rear of Buzz's armor, an exclusive connection technique connects two purple wings to his body, enabling his cartoon version to fly (In the fictional Star Command TV show, Buzz Lightyear is capable of powered flight via his wings, although in the movie, he cannot). The wings feature green projections on the ends, which contain small nonfunctional lights. Red-and-white warning stripes are printed on top of his wings. Buzz's head is purple, and is molded specially for him. Printing on Buzz's face suggests a chin, confident smile, blue eyes, and thin eyebrows. The rest of Buzz's head is purple. Buzz's helmet also has a clear dome, underneath which his head is placed. The front of the dome is retractable.

Buzz Lightyear is a Space Ranger for Star Command and a friend of Woody's. He serves as one of several main characters in the Toy Story theme.
