The Kraawa is a BIONICLE combiner model first appeared in 2004. It can be built with the pieces of 8602 Toa Nokama, 8603 Toa Whenua and 8606 Toa Nuju. The instructions were included in the instructions of these sets.
History[edit | edit source]
The Kraawa species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis as one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.
Only one specimen of Kraawa was ever sighted on Metru Nui. It was successfully captured and placed in the Archives, but not before it had used its physiological growth adaptation to grow to half the size of a Ko-Metru Knowledge Tower. Because it was too large for a Stasis Tube, it was locked up in a secure section of the Archives.
During the attempted escape of a Rahi from the Underwater Rahi Study, the Kraawa got loose, and managed to reduce three levels to "critical condition," forced four more to be evacuated, turned more than a dozen Vahki to scrap, and unleashed hundreds of dangerous Rahi.
After the Great Cataclysm, the Kraawa was set loose again. The Rahaga, particularly Pouks, often expressed concern about finding and capturing it, for it proved very evasive.
Abilities and Traits[edit | edit source]
The Kraawa is a gentle creature; it is herbivorous and more likely to run away than to fight. When it becomes agitated, its eyes turn from blue to red. This Rahi was skilled at hiding and extremely difficult to capture.
The creature has the ability to absorb any kinetic energy used against it and use that energy to grow. If the Rahi is hit, it will get larger; how much larger depends on how hard it was hit. There is apparently no limit to how large the Kraawa can get.
