Minifigure Language

Stud Standard translated into the Latin alphabet

The Minifigure Language, also known as Stud Standard, consists of 26 written letters in correspondence with the English alphabet. This language is used in video games, although it has been phased out in some of the newer Warner Bros video games. The letters are formed by bricks with an accorded amount of studs, and texts are written from left to right (although there have been examples of up to down writing). No way of pronunciation is known.

Notes

• In a particular cutscene of the video game LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker says something that resembles "Hello, are you there, what are you gonna do? I don't even know her-", and, later on, "You didn't do it." For the rest of the time, however, his voice acting consists of normal grunts. In another instance, Asajj Ventress says "Why you-".
• The BIONICLE universe also has its own alphabet, which also appears in various Video Games.

• In LEGO-themed TV shows, like Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu and Legends of Chima: The Animated Series, the characters speak English.
• The minifigures now speak English in video games. The first Video Game for them to speak in was LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.
