The invisibility cloak is a piece included in 4841 Hogwarts Express and 4842 Hogwarts Castle. Before the new piece in 2010, a violet cape may have been used as the cloak in older sets such as 4751 Harry and the Marauder's Map, 4706 Forbidden Corridor, 4709 Hogwarts Castle, and 4721 Hogwarts Classrooms. It was also usable in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 after the level, The Restricted Section. The ability was exclusive to Harry and let him pass Filch, without being caught, and past Prefects without being blown away. In the books and movies it was often used by Harry (and somtimes Ron and Hermione) to sneak around Hogwarts castle without being detected.

Background

James Potter was the owner of the cloak but the night he and his wife Lilly were killed by Voldemort, Dumbledore had it with him. In Harry's first year at Hogwarts Dumbledore gave it to Harry to use because it was rightfully his. Harry used it a lot after that.
