Today I'm reviewing a new-ish set: 41039 Sunshine Ranch. This set is the cheapest set of the most expensive of this wave of Friends. I love that we finally get a Friends farm. Now onto the review.
- Theme: Disney Princess
- Pieces: 721
- Mini-doll figures: 2
- Price: $69.99 USD

Instructions[edit | edit source]
They are easy too follow, but I built the kitchen twice and the roof won't close properly. :S
The Build[edit | edit source]
Mini-doll figures[edit | edit source]
Mia is made out completely of existing parts. Same with Liza, I wish Liza had a Friends hair in a new colour. Or Olivia/Andrea was included, they haven't been in a horse set yet :S. I would've per faired plaid or long sleeve or just short sleeved shirts, rather then these summer themed existing clothes. We also get a wheelbarrow with hay for them. The set should come with at least 3 figures, 5 really. Mia's grandparents (the owners) and a boy would've been a lovely choice.
Animals[edit | edit source]
We get two horses a white one and a new nougat one. I'm glad we finally get a new horse colour I have 3-5 each of the existing ones. That said I wish the white horse was golden like his son. Yes the set includes a golden foal, but no golden horse. Maxie appears too, it's nice we get another farm animal, but could she not be red instead of grey? We get the two existing rabbits, white and grey. I would've liked brown and black instead. We also get a hen, I would say yay but I have the Kingdoms Farm too. But the hen is new for Friends fans.
Overall the animals are about 3/5 I have so many white horses and rabbits, and I have a few Maxies too. The new horse is amazing, I like the hen and the new foal. My dream list of animals would be:Cow, Horse, Donkey, Rabbits, Goat, Pig, Chicken. I understand this would be expensive but we have all these moulds, all we need is recolouring. The sheep/lamb can be found in Stephanie's new born lamb.
Side builds[edit | edit source]
400px The first side build is a rabbit hutch. We get a pink bag for a carrot, which is exclusive. The hutch it slef is made of white, lime and lavender pieces. It's a cute little add on, I guess.
The chicken coop is epic. First off its super neat we finally get a coop. It has a play feature too you drop the eggs down into a "hole", where the basket is. You then pull the basket out and collect the eggs, for a feast! The pieces in this little build are fantastic light pink corner pieces, exclusive light nougat flat studs (eggs), 1x3 flat yellow tiles, 1x2 yellow cheese slope, lavender roof tiles and so much more.
There's a tree, yay? I don't like the trees we get in Friends they are always a mix match of colous too appear "girly". There's a few magenta cherry's though which I personally like. The tree has large dark green leafs and tiny regular green ones. It is mainly made of brown pieces, as stated before has a few random colours too.
Stable[edit | edit source]
400px The first/bottom part of the main build is the stable. There's not much too it really, there's not a whole ton of room because the horses are too big, too allow a lot of space for the girls. Both sides have a brown railing inside and a stable door inside and out. The doors are pink, I wish we got a recolour but eh. The left side as a trouth and the right hay. The right has the saddles(lavender and blue) again a recolouring say lemon or green would've been cool, a ugly looking chair(it doesn't look finished!), Maxie's hay bed, and lavender accessories (again lemon, light blue, lime or green recolour would be nice). The left only has the helmets. On the outside there's several light and dark grey stones, green grass and lights. The walls are magenta and white, which is cool. Most of the parts have been mentioned we also get the flower/bug combo pack in red(a pink recolour would be cool).
Bathroom/Bedroom[edit | edit source]
The first part of the second floor, is the bathroom/bedroom combo. There's a white toilet with that new bowl piece with a yellow toilet lid(what?), there's also a sink, and odd looking shower. The shower has a 4 studs high 1x2 clear blue brick. Thats all that separates the rooms :S. The beds cool and has a cool cover design, there's a also a bedside table with lamp. Inside the roof there's Mia's diary. The exterior, has several white and magenta pieces, including magenta 1x2 slopes, and a door that leads to nothing(What?), the roof has bizarre looking ivy on it. The white bowl, and all magenta pieces are interesting.
Kitchen[edit | edit source]
The last part is the kitchen. There's a door that goes straight too a table, what? The kitchen cloth on the table has a nice red/white combo design. In the pink bowl on the table there's cookies!, and a red apple. It has a weird chair design beside it. There's also a oven, that's mainly white but has two knobs and a black top. Beside it theres a fireplace that's light and dark grey. The exterior the same as bathroom/bedroom. My roof won't close fully due to the fireplace.
Conclusion[edit | edit source]
Build/Design | 4 / 5 |
Playability | 5 / 5 |
Parts | 4½ / 5 |
Price | 4 / 5 |
Mini-dolls/Animals | 2½ / 5 |
Overall | 4 / 5 |
Overall, this is a pretty good set. The design of it is nice but what's up with those doors on the outside? It took just over a hour for me to build. The set has really cool parts, lots of magenta, 4 eggs and cookies! The price is the catch on this set. Since it is a large set it's $69.99. I per fair Stephanie's beach house which is cheaper and cooler. This set has a lot of animals, playability, and magenta though so if you want those buy it!
Anyways, thanks for reading my review! I hope you liked it <3 Soup
