The Four Golden Weapons

The Four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu are the Scythe of Quakes, the Nunchucks of Lightning, the Shurikens of Ice, and the Sword of Fire. Their power is so great that no mortal can hold all of them at once. All four weapons are used in the 2011-2012 Ninjago theme.

Background

The weapons were initially used by the first Spinjitzu master to create the world of Ninjago. Little is known of their creation, despite being forged at Golden Peak. After he died, his son, Lord Garmadon, wanted to possess the power of the four weapons, and was consumed by evil. After being cast down to the underworld, Garmadon gathered a skeleton army to try and retrieve the weapons. He eventually succeeded, and escaped the underworld through a portal created by the weapons, vowing to return powerful enough to possess all four weapons at once. The Ninjas then took the weapons back to Ninjago, where they began learning to use their powers. Later, Garmadon merged the four weapons into a weapon more powerful then all of the four were before, the Mega Weapon. This new weapon has only the power to create, not destroy, and it takes a lot of power to use, draining Garmadon's strength each time he uses it. The ninja later went back in time and destroyed Lord Garmadon's mega weapon by creating a new mega weapon. It broke into Garmadon's and flew into the sky, being seen into the Ninjago night like a star.

Now in season 3: Rebooted, the Nindroids used the Golden Weapons for golden armor for the Overlord. AKA: the Golden Master. But later he was defeated by Zane who sacrificed himself to save Ninjago. The aftermath of that battle resulted in keeping the Golden armor in a top secret building in Hyroshi's Labyrinth.

The Scythe of Quakes is one of the four golden weapons from Ninjago and was hidden by Sensei Wu in the Caves of Despair. It is wielded by Cole, and can cause earthquakes and large cracks when swung into the ground. It can also turn into Cole's Tread Assault vehicle. The weapon has four different variations, and is seen in more sets than any other.

Whoever masters it, can control the earth. Used by the First Spinjitzu Master to create Ninjago, it is one of the four Weapons of Spinjitzu.

Variations

• The first variation is built with a short stick, large tooth and one of the modified lightsaber hilt pieces.
• The second variation is built with a longer handle, a 1x1 plate with vertical side clip, and one of the large fang pieces. It is included in set 9455.
• On LEGO.com, in the Ninjago Weapons Gallery, the third variation is called the "Golden Tri-Scythe". It is built like the first variation, but with a Really Big Stick and a new golden sai element instead of a tooth element.
• The fourth variation is built with a short stick, a regular lightsaber hilt and one of the new jagged blade pieces It is included in set 9572.
• The fifth variation is built like the first variation but with a really big stick, a modified lightsaber hilt and one of the jagged blade pieces replacing the large tooth.

Shurikens of Ice

The Shurikens of Ice

The Shurikens of Ice are one of the four golden weapons from Ninjago (technically it is two but it is considered one). They were hidden by Sensei Wu in the Frozen Wasteland. They are wielded by Zane and can shoot ice. They can also turn into Zane's Snowmobile. They are the second most commonly seen golden weapon.

The Nunchucks of Lightning are one of the four golden weapons from Ninjago, and are wielded by Jay. They were hidden by Sensei Wu in the Floating Ruins. They have the ability to fire lightning bolts. They can also turn into Jay's Storm Fighter. There are two minor variations of this weapon. This golden weapon has appeared in the least sets so far. The Series's variation is completely different: They're two golden Dragon Heads held together by a bolt of lightning. This obviously would have been more difficult to produce, so LEGO put a more simple version in the sets (Though many weapons look different in the show. In fact, the Sword of Fire is the only one that looks the same in the series.).

Fast and powerful, they lightning strike first, and thunder boom after. Master them, and you’ll control the storm. They’re one of the four Weapons of Spinjitzu that helped created Ninjago.

Variants

• The regular variant is built with two modified lightsaber hilts and a golden chain, the chain has been put on one side of the modified hilt.
• The second variant uses the same pieces as the first variant but with the golden chain placed on top of the modified hilts.
• The third variant uses two normal lightsaber hilts and a golden chain, the chain is placed on top of the the two lightsaber hilts.

The Sword of Fire

The Sword of Fire is one of the four golden weapons from Ninjago. It was hidden by Sensei Wu in the Fire Temple. It is wielded by Kai and can shoot fire balls. It can also turn into Kai's Blade Cycle. This is the rarest of the golden weapons, only being in five sets (new mold). In the first wave 2011 sets, this weapon was possibly represented by a regular gold katana.

This is a description taken from LEGO.com. Please do not modify it. This powerful blade is wild and dangerous. It burns through the air and anything on the other side of it. It’s also alive and hard to hold. This sacred weapon can only be held (and tamed) by someone who’s mastered fire. It’s one of the four Weapons of Spinjitzu, and it helped create Ninjago.

Notes

• In the last episode of season 1, "The Day of the Great Devourer", all 4 golden weapons disappeared with Lord Garmadon after he defeated The Great Devourer.

• In the first episode of season 2, "Darkness Shall Rise", Lord Garmadon turned the four weapons into a combined, new golden weapon at the Golden Peaks called the Mega Weapon. It has the power to create but he only has enough power to create once a day.

• In the episode of season 2, "Wrong Place, Wrong Time", it is revealed that the only thing that can destroy the Mega Weapon is another Mega Weapon, or all 4 of the golden weapons separately, which is what apparently happened. Since then, it has been assumed that the Golden Weapons were destroyed.

• In episode of season 2, "The Island of Darkness", the ninja got four new golden weapons from the Temple of Light known as Elemental Blades.

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

• In episode 33 The Void, the Nindroids found the golden weapons on a comet in a form of a golden ball. They brought it back to the Overlord who used it's power to become the Golden Master.
