The Tall Tale of Clancee is the second short based around the origin of the crew of the Misfortune's Keep. It was released on LEGO.com on February 28, 2016.

Plot[edit | edit source]

With the Sky Pirates asleep, the skeleton tied to the helm of Misfortune's Keep proceeds to tell Clancee's backstory:

Originally a Serpentine missing a leg and briefly under the care of Selma, Clancee sought to be a pirate since his very childhood, and attended Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys to pursue in his career. Despite his clumsiness, lack of skill, and seasickness, Clancee continued to persevere despite all odds.

Later, he grew up to swab decks on Stiix. One day, he ended up bumping into a Sky Pirate heading to Nadakhan's crew. Hoping to enlist, Clancee accidentally knocked the both of them into the water.

Flintlocke, seeking out the last member to board the ship, would single out Clancee and hire him as part of the crew. With his dream accomplished, Clancee would cheerfully wave goodbye to the left-behind Sky Pirate as Misfortune's Keep sailed off.
