Description[edit | edit source]
The Winter Soldier has neck length, messy dark brown hair. His head is dual sided with each side depicting a different iteration of the character. The first face is based on the comics and has a large angular black domino mask, with more modern facial details showing his eyebrow muscles scrunched to hold the mask in place, cheek bones, and an aggressive expression with clenched teeth that is largely opened on the right and gradually slims down to a point on the left. The alternative face features his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe featuring his eyes exposed with dark brown eyebrows, the bottom half of the face is covered with a black mouthpiece, with dark grey lines on either side for detail.
He wears an all black outfit, except his right arm and hand are in pearl silver for his bionic arm which is printed with black horizontal lines to depict the various layers and at the top of the arm is a five point soviet red star. The black undershirt shows a bit of the neckline and a few wrinkles showing, he has a large silver armour with five bars linked together. On top that he has a stap on the right side featuring a brown gun holster. On the bottom he has a belt of brown pouches with a silver buckle. His left leg features a curved dark grey belt with silver buckle, which continues onto the side with a brown gun holster.
The back printing features outfit's cut on his back, the silver belt buckle for the the three holster belts to connect to, the belt also continued but has four pouches, two on each of the farther sides.
Video Games[edit | edit source]
He has a largely similar design. He has light brown hair, and the face is left in a neutral expression during play. He wears a light black outfit, with black armour, a less fine detail, the belt is also on the hips. The arm is normal grey with red star on a white circle.
He has the basic attacks and basic gun shooting capabilities with his long range rifle. When the gun is drawn, he attacks with the butt of the rifle for melee attacks, and must be put away for normal attacks.
Background[edit | edit source]
Comics[edit | edit source]
James "Bucky" Barnes was an ally of Captain America and assisted him on various missions as a member of the Howling Commandos. On one mission, he was seemingly killed. However, he survived and was frozen, much like Captain America.
After being revived, he received a bionic arm, but lost his memory in turn. Because of this, he was trained to be an assassin and given the code name Winter Soldier. He eventually fought with his former partner, which lead to Captain America restoring Bucky's memories. This prompted him to rejoin his colleague. Sometime later, Bucky inherited Captain America's mantle after Steve Rogers' supposed demise.
Rogers was later brought back and Bucky became the Winter Soldier once more.
Marvel Cinematic Universe[edit | edit source]
James "Bucky" Barnes was the best friend of Captain America and assisted him on various missions as a member of the Howling Commandos. On one mission to capture Arnim Zola, he was seemingly killed. However, he survived and taken in by Hydra, replacing his mutilated arm with a bionic arm and finished the brainwashing he had started. Because of this, he was trained to be an assassin and given the code name Winter Soldier. He was placed in suspended animation until Hydra needed him over the years.
After Nick Fury had become suspicious of Project Insight, the Winter Soldier was sent to kill the director. Due to his success, Steve Rogers battled with him multiple times, eventually learning the Winter Soldier was his old friend. During their battle aboard the Helicarrier, Rogers attempted to remind Bucky who he was, and succeeded, as Bucky saved his friend.
Afterwards, he went to the Captain America museum exhibit to learn more about his past.
