Aang is a minifigure released in 2006 as part of the Avatar: The Last Airbender line.
Description[edit | edit source]
Aang's bald head is light nougat with a very excited, manga styled face. He has the front of a blue arrow starting at the top of his face and ending in the middle of his eyes.
Background[edit | edit source]
Aang is the last remaining airbender after the Air Nomad Genocide. As an airbender, he is the ability to manipulate (referred to as "bending") air and use it for his advantage. He is the reincarnation of the Avatar named Roku. As the Avatar, Aang can control all four elements (water, earth, fire, air) and is given the ability to enter into the Avatar Spirit State (in which his eyes and tattoos glow and he is given unspeakable power from the previous Avatar reincarnations and the spirits alike), in which he enters once deep emotion or danger occurs, or when he clears his chakras. He is given the duty of ending the century aged war by eliminating Fire Lord Ozai in order to bring balance to the four nations. Aang traveled around the world to learn the elements; he is taught waterbending by Pakku and Katara, earthbending by Toph, and firebending by Zuko and Jeong Jeong when he allies with him. Technically speaking, Aang is 112 years old but has the appearance of a 12 year old boy. He ran away from his home, the Southern Air Temple, when the monks insisted that he leaves Gyatso to be trained in advanced airbending early. Riding on the back of his flying bison Appa, Aang nearly drowned in a horrible storm, but saved himself by triggering the Avatar State and preserving himself and Appa in a iceberg for one century. Katara and Sokka discovered Aang, 100 years later, when the Fire Nation was nearing victory in war.

Aang
The last of the Nomadic Airbenders, Aang is the reincarnation of the legendary Avatar, destined to master the elements of Air, Water, Earth and Fire. He would rather have fun than fight the Fire Nation, but he knows it is his mission to try to save the world.
