LEGO has requested that we remove the images again. We can link to the online catalog, however.

"This embargo's over".

LEGO have published images on their own website for the summer catalog. There is no way you can say they're trying to keep details secret any longer.

I think Vakama's going to have to have a talk to Chewie about stealing his kanoka disk launcher......

Warning- text wall ahead, prepare to skip.

  • 75099- Doesn't look too bad. I like the dark red colouring, even though it doens't seem to be accurate (in the trailer, it looks like the top's dark red but the rest is brown). Dark red stud shooters will be good to have too. With the name of the other guy revealed, I'm wondering who Unkar is now and why he isn't in a set (I'm guessing he'll be in the 2016 pirate tank)
  • 75100- When it was called a snowspeeder, I was not expecting a ground vehicle :P It looked like a pretty boring grey slab to be at first, but it's growing on me. I love stud-shooting turrets, good to see them on a small vehicle like this
  • 75101- Umm, it's a TIE Fighter :P The supports are reinforced as the Special Forces version's meant to be, so that's good. For this one, I'm going to have to judge the interior and the back, that's where interesting parts are in this ship.
  • 75102- Already commented on this in the initial leak, love it
  • 75103- Not a huge fan of it at the moment. Which is a shame, because I was intending to review this on Force Friday, might do the snowspeeder instead now. I'll have the see the interior to really judge it. I'm guessing it's accurate to the SW vehicle it's based on, but at the moment it seems like this set's all about the minifigures.
  • 75104- Didn't like it in the leaked instruction book image, still don't like it now- the studs just make it look yuk, especially since it seems to be based on a nice sleek ship. Again, will have to wait to judge this when it's out of the box.
  • 75105- Falcon is Falcon. But it looks pretty good, looking forward to seeing the interior. Might actually get this one (I only have the original Falcon, guess it's time for an upgrade)

Minifigs:

  • 75099- good cheap way to get Rey, and I'm liking the range of accessories she has in this set. The other guy doesn't look too bad either. For the price, a third minifigure would have been nice though
  • 75100- I don't think Snowtrooper officers have been revealed through any other source previously (I could be wrong), but it's nice to see the officers are following the Stormtrooper officers and wearing pauldrons. Nice to see the kamas are definitely included with them too. I also like how they made an attempt with the officer to give him a two-colour blaster (I was hoping for printed black and white blasters, but I knew that was too unreasonable to expect). Quite like the minifig design overall, seen them for a while though, so I'm used to them
  • 75101- The officer uniform (previously unseen) is a letdown to me. Weird-looking hats and they don't have that nice clean Imperial feel to them with a coloured rank insignia. But, it's obviously got to me based on what's in the film, so I shouldn't complain. Likewise with the crew- weird looking, but accurate. Loving the TIE Pilots, especially with the breathing tube at the bottom of the helmet.
  • 75102- Been out for a while. Love the minifigs, especially for the helmets. BB-8, while it'd be nice if it could somehow roll, wasn't going to realistically happen. It isn't too bad overall.
  • 75103- Those minifigures :O The flametroopers with the backpacks and flamethrowers, Phasma complete with the red stripe on her cape, the previously unseen Stormtroopers- all great. However- I don't like the white hands for the Stormtroopers or Flametroopers- they have pretty much the same hand plating as Imperial Stormtroopers (which use black hands). I know it makes their hands look un-armoured, but I think the black hands look so much better. Resistance soldiers look ok, I was hoping they were going for some sort of uniform as opposed to a completely ragtag look- they seem even more disorganised than the Rebel Alliance (but again, that's a complaint about the film not the minifigs)
  • 75104- That helmet :S But we haven't seen what Kylo looks like with his helmet on but hood off yet- maybe that's how it's meant to look. Lightsaber's a slight disappointment- was hoping for a way to have the crossblades on individually, and would have liked to have seen the blades coming out of the hilt. I thought Hux would look better, I don't know why.
  • 75105- Again, analysed to death already. Except Rey's got a silver blaster- I like seeing these blasters in new colours :P
Overall, I'm liking the wave, but I think we'll be seeing better sets and minifigs in years to come. I believe this is basically for one reason- LEGO would be heavily restricted in what models and minifigures they could have in their first wave. No Leia or Luke in this wave? Well, official images (or officially approved on images) of Luke haven't been released. No Leia? We've only seen her in one location so far, and they want that location to be a secret. Annoyed the main characters aren't in multiple sets? Out of un-leaked material, where else could the minifigs ago apart from the sets they're in? (maybe BB-8 in 75099 and Kylo in 75100, but that's about it). Basically, I'm thinking Disney's more to blame than LEGO in that case. But whether it was due to restrictions or because it was intentionally chosen, personally I'm happy with it- it means more of those beautiful new FO troopers :D

I may wait for the next wave but pick up the two smallest sets and possibly the Falcon. It'd be nice for the new one to be my first one. :) Snowtroopers look really useful for Moon Knight. Rey's speeder has a lot of good dark red, I really like that and the figures (minus the ugly goggled cloth wrap.) I really would like the Millennium Falcon because it has a good majority of the main characters.

The First Order Transporter actually looks amazingly fun.

Smallest set is €30? Yeesh.

The Resistance stuff looks okay, but I'm finding a lot of the First Order vehicles rather hideous, except for maybe the TIE (though I wonder why only half of the cockpit is red?). Minifigures mostly look good, except a couple of the alien heads are really ugly, but maybe that has something to do with practical effects printing? :P

Complaints about the minifigure distribution amuses me, because I commented on that in Star Wars sets recently and people didn't agree. :P I'm sure that if you wait a while, the characters will cycle into smaller sets. There will be another wave.

I don't know about Chewbacca, and Lea has actually only been in one set under $50 (and that was her yellow slave variant), but Luke, Han, Vader, Palpatine, Obi-Wan, and the Droids all have at some point or other....

It's been pretty rare though.

I love the look of these sets, however I think the minifigures are a huge letdown. The fact that most of the main characters are only included in one set each is more disappointing than Kylo Ren's helmet.

Is it not a good thing that each minifigure is exclusive? You won't get multiples that way

Lots of diversity is a great thing! Various skin tones and multiple women too! Chewbacca's new blaster is amazing! It's a pity BB-8 doesn't roll.

I'll probably get Rey's speeder, the dark red spring loader looks fantastic! The design isn't half bad either. It's a shame the sets are overpriced though :(
