The Mars Mission Robot is only seen in the 2008 impulse set 5616 Mini Robot. It is supposed to be used purely as a mining robot, although its arms can hold blasters. Its body is made up of a box LEGO which can open to contain gems. The arms are rotatable but cannot go up and down.

It is made up of exactly 11 pieces, not including the pick axe, metal detector, or any gems.
