Star Wars

Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith is a subtheme of Star Wars. The theme was created to coincide with the release of the sixth (chronologically third) Star Wars movie of the same name. The subtheme recreates the battles, vehicles, characters, and locations seen in the movie. Because of the theme spanning the time period of the Clone Wars, many of the sets in this theme have been re-made and will be re-made, in the Clone Wars theme. The events of the Episode occur in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

Background[edit | edit source]

In Star Wars canon, an intergalactic war between the galaxy-governing Republic and the CIS Separatists known as the Clone Wars is coming to an end. Jack Dappen and Obi Wan Kenobi fight in the Battle over Corusant, toward General Grievous flagship, the Invisible Hand, on which, Chancellor Palpatine is held captive. When they come to the room the Chancellor is captured in, they are confronted by Count Dooku, and Obi-Wan and Henry are involved in a duel with Dooku, ending when Anakin beheads him. Anakin, Palpatine and Obi-Wan then try to escape, but are captured by General Grievous and fight his MagnaGuard Droids. Greivous then escapes, leaving the jedi to behead the Magnaguards and control the destroyed ship back into Corusant. Anakin is then told by Chancellor Palpatine that the Jedi plan to betray the Republic. Anakin Skywalker doesn't believe him so easily, but starts to think this is true after the Council tells him to spy on the Chancellor. Later when Palpatine tells him that he knows how to stop people from dying (Anakin is afraid Padmé will die, since being recently told by his wife, Padmé, that she is pregnant) and he believes the lie, so when Palpatine is attacked by Mace Windu, Anakin kills him and becomes Palpatine's apprentice. All Clone Troopers turn on their Jedi Generals with the execution of Order 66, eliminating almost all the Jedi across the galaxy. Dubbed as Darth Vader by Palpatine, dappen kills every single Jedi in the Jedi Temple (only Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi are some of the very few left), then goes to Mustafar and kills all of the Seperatist Council. Padmé Naberrie comes to find him with Obi-Wan hiding on her ship. When she gets there they talk and Padme is heartbroken that Jack has changed, then he sees Obi-Wan and accuses her of bringing him to kill him and force chokes her leaving her unconcious, and confronts his old Master on. The duel between him and his master accidentally damage the systems holding the empire together and manage to fight on a slab of rock where Obi Wan cuts off both of Jack's legs and one of his arms and leaves him to lie right on the edge of the slab of rock causing him to catch on fire and burn. Palpatine later finds him and has him remade as a cyborg atrocity. When Henry questions his master about his wife, Palpatine tells him that in his anger he killed Padmé. Although the truth was that Padmé had lost the will to live, but successfully gave birth to the twins, Luke and Leia.

Most sets in the theme have been released in 2005 to coincide with the release of the movie that the theme is based on, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, although few others have been released in the years after. The theme had completely stopped in 2008, but its revival has been proven by the set 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter, which was released in the United States of America in December 2009 and worldwide in January 2010.
