Hi, I'm Soupperson1 and this is a step by step guide on how to write description.
Step 1
Find an article without a description, i.e. it has no description section.
Step 2
Click the edit button, it is under the article's header and beside "discussion" and "history".
Step 3
Create a description section by putting the word Description in between two sets of ==.
Step 4
Begin to write your description, take your time and don't rush.
If a part is coloured you should put the colour name in between [[ ]], this will link the colour's article. If you think "Cool Yellow" is a weird colour name, you can put "|" after the colour's name and write the colour name you wish to show up on the article, e.g. instead of Cool Yellow I wrote blonde by placing Cool Yellow in [[ ]], and placing a |blonde inbetween the w and the ]].
Remember, only link a colour once in an article!
Step 5
When your description is finished, click the circular "Show preview" button. The button is in the bottom of the light grey box and in between "Save page" and "Show changes" buttons.
Step 6
Scroll up to see the preview of what your article will look like. Read it over and try to correct any spelling and grammar mistakes, if you miss any don't be upset another user will eventually fix them.
Step 7
Once it's read over, you can press the "Save page" button, its to the left of the "Show preview" button.
I hope you enjoy writing descriptions, if you have any trouble ask on Special:Chat or leave a message on my talk page,User_talk:Soupperson1.
