(The following policy suggestion could apply to the entire Brickimedia network, but may as well start here)

With Brickimedia being a up-and-coming LEGO fan network, we're bound to have members who work for the LEGO Group on the wiki eventually (Brickia has some that have contributed). With this, it is important that we prevent conflict-of-interest on our articles to maintain a neutral point of view. While most individuals who work at the LEGO Group or otherwise would have articles on the wiki pertaining to them or their work would likely know to avoid COI if they plan to contribute, having a written COI policy would be an important thing for us. For an example of a much more extensive COI policy than we'd need, see wikipedia:WP:COI. This kind of policy may evolve into a global Brickimedia policy, although wikis such as the CUUSOO Wiki and the LEGO Message Boards Wiki (if they move here) will likely have many COI issues since there are many articles on both those wikis about users who have wiki accounts. Does anybody else think this would be a good policy on Brickipedia though, and if so, what kinds of things would define a conflict of interest on a LEGO encyclopedia? --ToaMeiko (talk) 20:14, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

  • I can see one being useful on CUUSOO, but I can't see it being an issue here- if any TLG members do come on, I'm sure they'd be responsible enough to know not to do anything stupid. And if anything happened, couldn't it be reverted due to NPOV couldn't it? So I don't really see there being much point to having one, but I can't see any harm it either. • Per Nova. Seems like another policy for the point of having a policy, and I'm pretty sure NPOV covers this... UltrasonicNXT (talk)
  • If this goes through, I can see it being a little more relevant NovaHawk 00:28, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
  • I don't see a major problem with it, but I don't see how it would be much different than NPOV. -LFY1547 00:59, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
