Are we sure this is a set?[edit source]

The original EB post linked in the article is from August 11, 2015. Are we sure that the "confidential A-wing" is not referring to 75150 Vader's TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Starfighter? It's entirely possible that it could be a UCS set, as the Snowspeeder is also on that list (and I'm sure we're all aware of the unprecedented delay of the more recent UCS sets), but it seems more likely to me that it's the former and not the latter. • It does seem like it might have been cancelled or maybe the TIE Advanced and A-wing were originally intended to be sold separately and they were later merged, but we don't have anything to really prove that. It's still listed on Brickset as "not yet released", and I think in the past they've been the best source for when things are cancelled (like the Senate Commando Battle Pack that was at one point cancelled then later uncancelled). Or (going by the "confidential") maybe there was going to be an Episode VII A-wing but that changed when they decided to pull anything remotely imaginative and new out of the movie so they had to pull the LEGO set too? We know A-wings are in Episode VIII so they had to have had then in mind :S Either way, I'd vote for leaving it as is until we get some information on the matter instead of calling it cancelled too early and later find out it's still happening NovaHawk 11:29, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
  • This does seem odd, even given the circumstances Nova detailed. The set was probably scrapped or merged into 75150. LCF (talk!) 20:47, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
