Today I'm reviewing another summer 2015 set: 41098 Emma’s Tourist Kiosk. This set is the only 10$ set in the summer wave of Friends for some reason. Well will the smallest set of the wave make a big impression, find out in the review:

The box[edit | edit source]

The box is mainly medium lavender with medium lilac edges, like the other Friends sets. The front of the box shows Emma choosing an accessory from the turning carosel with the other builds to the back. You can see 41101 Heartlake Grand Hotel and 41100 Heartlake Private Jet in the background. The back of the box shows Emma with the other builds. For some reason the fact the mailbox opens deserves a picture.

The contents[edit | edit source]

We get two small bags and a small instruction manual.

The parts[edit | edit source]

The transparent stud like bricks have a hole that can hold any hair accessory. The 1x1 brick yellow piece with a curved extension is new for this wave and is exclusive in its colour here. The only other set it appears in is, 41001 Heartlake Grand Hotel but it appears in warm gold there. The medium blue slopes at an angle at an angle are exclusive! The transparent pink sunglasses and brick yellow piece inverted slopes are also exclusive! The flame yellowish orange flower, bright orange roller skates, printed post card and newspaper are all new for this wave. The brick yellow 1x2 brick with a clip and flame yellowish orange tiles aren't exclusive but they are rare.

Emma[edit | edit source]

Emma is the only mini-doll figure in the set. Her torso appears in 4 other sets while her skirt appears in 8 others. I quite like the outfit she put together, I think it looks quite nice. As always her hair and head are nothing new.

The bench and turning carousel[edit | edit source]

The turning carousel is a praticularly nice build, as its small simple and has lots of hair accessories! The bench also has a simple construction but we've seen it before. Emma's roller skates sit on the bench, but it is worrying she has no helmet. There's a mailbox beside the bench to post your post card or letter from the kiosk.

The tourist kiosk[edit | edit source]

The tourist kiosk itself has a lovely build. It makes good use of the inverted slope pieces at the bottom. You can see the items for sale are: the newspaper, the postcard, the letter, a lollipop, two bottles of juice and sunscreen. The new brick yellow pieces under the roof gives the kiosk a nice shape. The medium blue roof is also quite nice, it looks a lot better without those flowers on the top though, LEGO stop adding that piece everywhere!

Overall, this is a great set! I'd give it 4.8 out of 5 if I could. My biggest problem is there's no one to buy anything as it would have greatly increased play value. My only other problem is there's no helmet for Emma, saftey first LEGO! The rest of the set is perfect, besides those flowers, but they could easily be removed. I highly recommend this set to anyone it has amazing pieces and it will be fun for kids, if they have an extra mini-doll or minifigure around. Thanks for reading <3 Soup

I'd like if you added a bit more detail.
